Seattle

Our next stop was Seattle.  It is more than we drive in a day, so we stopped over in Kellogg, Idaho at Crystal Gold Mine RV Park.  They were already closed, but it looked like a really neat park.  We did have a bit of a problem getting into the park because we had to find spots that had 50 amp spots, but luckily, it was before sun down so we had light to work by, back into spots.

It was nice to get to stop, get some work done and rest before the drive again tomorrow.

Since we travel with dogs, as I've mentioned before, I spend A LOT of my time in and out of the rig getting things I forgot in the truck, taking dogs out, playing ball with the dogs and letting them stretch their legs and play while we're stopped for the night.

We've made jokes that our older dog looks a LOT like a bear. Her resting face looks just like a sleeping bear, it's pretty funny.

But when we got to this park, I just HAD to take this pic.

I love my sweet baby <3 :)

We made it to Seattle the next day. We stayed at a nice park on a golf course called Sun Country Golf Course and RV Park in Cle Elum, Washington.   It was a bit different to get to, a little off the highway, but we got our big rig there without any incidents.  We had a nice spot, just on the backside of the restrooms/showers, next to the barn. It was quiet, services worked great.  We don't play golf, but big rig parks in the Seattle area are few and far between.  This one worked just fine for us.

While in Seattle, we had to do the touristy stuff like go up in the Space Needle and go to Pike's Place Market.

Here are some of my favorites from our trip to Seattle:

Even as scared of heights as I am, this wasn't too bad.  I will admit, I only looked down through the viewer on my camera though ... :)

I can see my truck from here!

We had to walk up some REALLY STEEP hills on the way back, had to make sure none of us fell backwards!

In addition to the Space Needle and Pike's Place Market, there's several other museums in the area.
One of which is the Chihuly Exhibit. See, years ago while in Oklahoma City touring a site for an event, one of our designers saw there was a Chihuly art exhibit and wanted to go. We decided to give it a shot.

As we walked in to the museum, I quickly understood what Chihuly was all about.  Colorful, artistic blown glass.

The color is captivating.

Seattle was a very interesting city.  We had to run a couple errands where I saw this sign out in front of a hardware store.
